Chinese war movies| Under Lens

Chinese movies are rich in heritage. Their drama and comedy, both are terrific but the most alluring one is the war movies. They have a mystic value added. Reason: For long China has been mysteriously a legend in war tactics. It is considered to have a strong defense. The Great Wall Of China is a just example. In this edition, we will find three great war sagas of the decade produced by China:

1. Warrior Of Heaven And Earth: Set during Tan dynasty, in the story, a lieutenant Li refuses to kill women and child prisoners. He is thus expelled. He becomes a fugitive and travels through the Gobi desert. He comes across a caravan that carries a mystical relic. On the other hand, The Emperor of China orders Lai Xi to kill Li but eventually he stands for Li’s cause. What happens next ensures a great cinematic success.

2. On The Mountain Of Tai Hang: It is pseudo government sponsored movie about the Eighth Route Army. It is being led by General Commander Zhu De. The troop marches east across the Yellow River to form the Mount Tai Hang Military Region during the second Sino-Japanese War.

3. Assembly: Based on a novel “Guan Si” the movie is a realistic portrayal of Chinese Civil War. The plot is based on a real account of a veteran army captain upholding his company honor.

Chinese movies allure audience at film festivals. Watch these three till we come up with more.
