Movies like Mohra and Main Khiladi Tu Anari established him as a tough and reliable action hero who can romance with her ladies on and off screen. These relationships were not simple flings, these were pretty serious. At one point Akshay was rumored to be engaged to Shilpa. It was the time when Salman (another ladies man) was primarily doing romantic movies and the other action hero, Suniel Shetty was busy trying to shape his career.
